hola mi nombre es Felipe tengo 20 años me gusta escuchar música y dibujar, estudio traducción en la universidad Arturo Pratt. El motivo por el cual cree este blog es para mostrar el avance de mis trabajos en una asignatura que tengo, llamada competencias comunicativas. Espero que sea de su agrado. 

House Description

Entrance: The images show the front of a colossal and luxurious house that is located in a residential neighborhood, and it is obviously that a very large and millionaire family lived here. We can see a detached house with a majestic entrance, the porch is white and it has a triangular shape. The house has stairs to enter over a fantastic rectangular glass door. On the left outside of the house, the light colors on the wall make contrast with the white paint that the windows frames have in a display of different forms. The right outside of the house and the back have a different design, it is striped with blue and white lines and it has the same refined windows with white frames.

Garden: The garden’s size is enormous and it is covered with bright green grass. Around the house there is a narrow space that has sand in which there are some shrubs, flowers and little trees. There’s plenty space to place a table and some chairs and even building an extravagant pool for the children to enjoy and have fun for a while. The garden is near a forest and sometimes we can see some wild squirrels over the day, especially in the morning. Seeing squirrels playing in the garden makes a wonderful morning, but it can be a danger for children so adults must take some precautions when someone leaves food or things outside, because the squirrels may be very playful.

Living Room: Once we are into the house, the first thing to notice is a small living-room that seems to be very comfortable, it has little windows on the top of the walls that brings some light to the room because there are no curtains. There’s a sofa between coffee tables, which has small pillows and over the sofa, there are two pictures of flowers. In front of the sofa there is a small table with vases. Each coffee table has a modern and little lamp.

Dining Room and Laundry Room: Next to it, it’s the dining-room, where there is an average rectangular table in the middle and above it there is a chandelier hanging on the ceiling. In addition, this room has a big window, elegant pictures, a plant at the corner and a piece of furniture that makes people feel relaxed while they enjoy their meals and the warm atmosphere. On the wall there is a big piece of furniture with drawers, next to it, there are some pictures. On the other side there is a huge plant. In front of the dining-room you can find the laundry, a small room with a modern washing machine and dryer.

Living Room 2: Following the corridor we can even find a bigger living room that is bright and very luminous for the big windows on the walls, and the kitchen is sharing the same big shiny room. At the right side, it is the living room. There are some light colored paintings on the walls. The living room has big and comfortable sofas, with a big white carpet thats makes a modern house keep relaxed. There’s also a dark-brown fireplace in which the family members can gather in a warm place and share a cup of coffee on raining days. Everything  in this warm place is shared and carefully decorated with some gears figurines at the center, over a wooden coffee table. It is the nicest place in the house, because it is the only place where you can have a nice moment with your family, or maybe some friends.

Kitchen: The kitchen is fully auburned furnished and people can feel the rural atmosphere in it. All we can see that the kitchen is a place where the main thing is the wonderful furniture. There is a porcelain platter with food in the center of the kitchen’s cupboard and in front of it there is a colored metal electric stove with fan over it, which is found in one of the pieces of furniture that surrounded the room. There is also a white door, which it could be the larder or just another room. The pieces of furniture are carefully placed among the limited space that the room has, however there is a big refrigerator placed to the left. It has two big doors, over this there are more pieces of furniture.

Even though it is a kitchen, it has different kind of details to make it comfortable and enjoyable for the cook. All of these electronic devices and the big space allow people to have a great moment.

Bathroom: At the left-end of the corridor there’s a small red bathroom and inside of it there is a washbasin, a toilet and a towel on a holder, all of this elements are white. There is a mirror too, and over the mirror there is a painting with red leaves.

Room 1: Leaving the bathroom we can see large wooden stairs. But when you are at the second floor it is easy to appreciate the light coming through the window. Upstairs there are three rooms. The first one, on the middle is, an eight years old boy named Zack. It is decorated with dinosaurs, for example, it has a big blue dinosaur poster on the wall, a very cute bedspread full of colors and dinosaurs, also on the floor there is a toy box with a picture of a dinosaur. It is a vivid colorful child bedroom.

Room 2: The next bedroom is rather more girlish, probably of a girl of thirteen years old. The toys and paintings are very cute and according with the theme full of colors and flowers. A beautiful bed is lying at the center with flowery stamped blankets on it. This bedroom, also has two windows, a white desk in front of it, with many school’s stuff, and a big piece of furniture to put photos and memos.

Sitting Room: Following the small corridor on the second floor, there’s is a tiny sitting room, where there are two red sofas and a single lamp in front of red colored furniture surrounded by animal themed canvas. It’s a place where the family can enjoy with their sons or daughters, it looks warm and comfortable. There are few houses that has this kind of room inside: a very nice, comfortable and  home love place.

Room 3: The next one, is an adult-like room, it has two windows, one larger than the other, a wooden marital bed adorned with leaves, an opened book and pillows on it. The room is beautifully decorated with picture frames, plants and paintings that give a maturity feeling to the room. The marital bedroom has an old-fashioned style, brown colors and leaves on the walls as decoration. A brown sofa and two pieces of furniture decorate the room aside from photo frames, mini lamps and flowers on the top of them .

Hallway and Bathroom 2: In the hallway, two more closets are placed, followed by two rounded mirrors on the wall. At the end, like on the first floor, there is a rock-gray bathroom with a small bathtub and a shower. 

Kinds of paragraph

Descriptive paragraph:

I love the winter, i think that is nothing better than a cloudy day. Winter for me is a season of being in your house relaxed, covered or drinking a cup of coffee and eating a piece of cake with your family. the sun and his heat doesn’t bother and always are making us to use a lot of clothe and being more affable with or family, friends or couple.

Explanatory paragraph:

I love winter because it reminds me when i was a kid and my grandma prepared cookies, cakes and chocolate and all my family got together around the table and they shared and laughed, that were perfect moments, and now that I’m older it make me smile.

 Narrative paragraph:

six years ago in winter I found my dog in the street, to be more specific in playa brava. He was alone and he looks so tiny so I decided to take care of him. At the beginning he was shaking and it seems so weak so I took him the veterinarian and he said to me that he will die in less than two days but that never happened. now he still live with me. The winter reminds m when i found him changing a little bit my life.

People’s description

His name is rodrigo he has short black hair, brown eyes he also has white skin he is medium height and tall. i could talk about my mother i think that it could be more easy but no, i’m going to talk about my brother the person who has always been with me  when i was a kid. He always protected when i get in problems and my mother yelling me he always defended me and make me feel better when i was sad, he support me when i wanna do something  even if we are angry about something thanks to him, i could do a lot of thing when i was younger only to be more like him he was one of the few persons that i’ve admired even  if we fight i know that we always are going to be brothers and we always are going to support each other.

Early birth or night owl?

i am a night owl because for me there is nothing better. In the night i feel alive i feel relaxed, it’s like the problems and the worries that the day make me feel disappear, what i like to do i do better for example to draw i can't draw in the day because my mind can’t focus i draw awful i don’t have imagination, but in the night is the opposite, is like mi mind is clear and i can draw so good other reason because i love the night is that i love to go out the parties go out with my friends or stay at home and drink something and feel like we are the only ones that are awake my mother, my father, brothers and nephews are all sleeping and that make me feel more secure because they are safe and because they will no see what i’m doing. Night make me feel alive secure and happy.

Oktapodi

It all starts in the clear blue waters of a fishbowl, where two octopuses, express their  love, acting with freedom and infinite happiness, however to their surprise a hand appears in the sky and steal to mrs octopus , seeing the macabre act his mind reacts  quickly, seeing the tragic future that is coming to his beloved, he decides to escape, his only world he knows, the tank and goes in search of his couple.when he located her, approaches her rescue in which they lived much persecution and opposition by the captor, however thanks to the teamwork  of their manage they escape being so adrift in the world, a new world which they look from the height of a line of rope where they are, deciding to jump and accepting this new life.

Premio nobel de la paz: Fray Dominique Pire

Fray Dominique Pire fraile dominicano de nacionalidad belga  el cual recibió el premio nobel de la paz por su gran labor al servicio de los refugiados que dejó la segunda guerra mundial.

Biografía:

George Pire era su verdadero nombre nacido en Dinant, Bélgica en 1910, hijo de George Pire sr. y Berthe pire la cual desde muy pequeño le enseño el valor de la bondad. Tras el comienzo de la primera guerra mundial Dominique pire y su familia debieron huir a Francia por miedo al avance de las tropas alemanas  en el año 1914. Tras 4 años pudieron volver a su tierra de origen la cual había sido destruida.

Desde muy temprana edad sintió el llamado de dios por el cual decidió entrar en un noviciado. A la edad de 18 años George decide entrar en el monasterio de Salthe y ya en  1932 George Pire decide tomar sus votos religiosos eligiendo el nombre de Dominique Pire. Entra a estudiar  teología y ciencias sociales en la universidad dominica de angelicum logrando sacar su doctorado en 1934 tras salir de la universidad  Dominique pire decide volver al  monasterio de Salthe para ayudar a las familias pobres.

Dominique Pire Tuvo una gran participación en la segunda guerra mundial ya que ayudo a  pasar de contrabando a muchos pilotos aliados lo cual luego de  que terminara la guerra se le fue reconocido con diferentes medallas.

Camino al nobel:

Tras el gran caos que dejo la guerra pire se dio cuenta que más de 4 millones de desahuciados  estaban sin hogar ni cobijo muchos habían caído en la locura y para la sociedad eran inservibles por esto tras la visita a un refugio en Trieste Pire decide dedicarse a la labor de darle una mano a estas personas que estaban abandonadas,  de esta manera decide fundar la organización  ''Europe du Coeur au Service du Monde''  la cual se preocupaba de darle a estas personas que ya no tenían nada un apoyo moral o material, fomentando la no discriminación entre nacionalidades o razas creando una cadena de buenas labores y voluntades para los refugiados a través de el apadrinamiento ya sea mediante el envío de cartas, paquetes o dinero, de esta manera logro que más de 15000 familias fuera de los refugios pudieran comunicarse con más de 15000 personas desahuciadas. Tras este logro en el año 1950 Pire decide crear una gran cantidad de asilos para ancianos lo cual permitía que muchos ancianos pudiesen salir de los campos de refugiados y así recibir un cuidado hasta su muerte, además Pire decidió levantar y transformar  diferentes aldeas que habían sido destruidas por la segunda guerra mundial y de esta manera darles casa a diferentes desplazados.

En 1958 Dominique pire recibe el premio nobel de la paz por su participación en la organización  "Europa del Corazón al servicio del Mundo’’

Labores por la paz luego de haber recibido el nobel:

Luego de haber recibido el premio nobel de la paz Dominique Pire decide crear la universidad la paz cual tenía como objetivo el recibir a las personas que querían aportar parte de ellos a la construcción de la paz. Una universidad que empezó teniendo 29 jóvenes y que al momento de morir su fundador  ya se había convertido en una universidad internacional con más de 15.000 integrantes de todo el mundo de diferentes religiones e ideologías. También formo la ONG islas de la paz (Îles de paix) la cual se dedicaba a desarrollar diferentes poblaciones rurales en países en vías de desarrollo comenzando primero en Bangladesh en 1962 e India en 1968.

Dominique Pire muere el 30 de enero de 1969 en el hospital católico romano de Lovaina tras complicaciones luego de una cirugía.

Dominique Pire el pequeño, moreno, de ojos penetrantes, trabajador incansable y de un entusiasmo contagioso como decía el fraile Blázquez  un hombre que decidió cambiar la tristeza  de los desplazados por una sonrisa, un hombre que tras su muerte su mayor legado fue el espíritu y la fuerza que permitió mover todas estas instituciones y un gran sentido de humanidad una bondad hacia el prójimo hacia el que necesitaba una mano para levantarse. Una de las acciones que más puedo destacar es que al principio el no empezó recaudando dinero sino cartas que pudiesen mostrarle a a los desplazados que no están solos que hay alguien afuera que se preocupa por ellos que el mundo no los había olvidado. Un hombre digno de admirar y un ejemplo a seguir que aun muerto sus instituciones siguen tan vivas como nunca.
